We were delighted to celebrate International Women’s Day at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden on Thursday 14th March.
We were joined by three inspirational women, Laura Woods from TNT Sports, Hester Woodliffe from WBD Games, and Sara Desmond from Film & TV production. They shared their career pathways and experiences as women in the Film, TV, and Media industry.
Laura Woods spoke about breaking into the sports industry and having to stand up against gender stereotypes. Hester shared how she has had to challenge the norm by being a female leader in the games industry and Sara spoke about the challenges of having to juggle work with motherhood and learning to prioritise what’s important without being afraid to say no.
All three of our panellists concluded that they are seeing a positive shift in the industry and are thankful for the strong allies they have formed along the way. Thank you to everyone who joined in the celebrations.
