We would like to inform local residents about a series of upcoming highway and infrastructure works taking place as part of the continued expansion of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL). These works are designed to improve the local road network, pedestrian and cycle facilities, and will be carefully managed to minimise disruption wherever possible. The information below provides an overview of what is planned, when the works will take place, and how any temporary impacts will be managed.
Southern Roundabout Works
As part of the expansion of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL), a programme of public highway improvements is underway, including the construction of a new roundabout and new access routes to the new studio and multi-storey car park.
The scheme is now nearing completion, and the next stage of works will involve laying the final tarmac surfacing and applying permanent road markings. This will include preparing the existing road surface, installing additional base layers where required, completing the final tarmac layer, and carrying out white lining in the affected areas shown in blue on the right.
To safely complete this phase, a temporary road closure will be required. To minimise disruption to local residents and the studios, these works will be carried out overnight. The works are weather-dependent, but they are currently scheduled to take place between 9th February – 20th February, during the hours of 22:00 to 06:00. While the roads are closed, we will also take the opportunity to complete other associated works in the area. Full details of the road closures and diversion routes are shown below
