To commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden participated in the local V80 Community Event, a day dedicated to remembrance for the World War II generation. Attendees were given a glimpse into the past, with the team proudly representing the Studios’ rich heritage and historical significance, and the integral role the studios played in the war effort. Long before the site became a world-class film studio, the Leavesden site was a factory floor dedicated to the production of Halifax bomber and Mosquito combat aircraft by the de Havilland company.

The event was a meaningful opportunity to collectively pay tribute to the wartime generation and to celebrate the history of resilience and innovation that continues to shape our studios and the wider Leavesden community.
We are proud to have taken part in this historic milestone with our neighbours. From building aircraft to building worlds, the site has evolved overtime whilst always remaining a pillar of the Leavesden community.
