What’s it feel like to die? Mickey 17; the sci-fi comedy based on the 2022 novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton is out now in cinemas across the UK. The film was directed and produced by Bong Joon-ho alongside Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Dooho Choi.

Filming across 5 of our sound stages and the studio backlot, the cast and crew brought the human colony Niflheim to life with S Stage being transformed into the regeneration lab and M Stage into the cafeteria and auditorium sets seen in the trailer.

Starring Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo, the plots follows the human expendable Mickey Barnes who is sent on a human expedition to colonize the ice world Niflheim. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact.
