Welcome to a set full of setbacks. Season one of the satirical comedy series The Franchise is out now on HBO Max and will be available on Sky and Now TV from the 21st October. The series was directed and produced by Sam Mendes alongside Armando Iannucci, Pippa Harris, Jon Brown, Marina Hyde, Keith Akushie, Nicolas Brown and Julie Pastor.

With so much of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden being featured in the series, this is a production we feel incredibly close to.

This production filmed across a variety of our stages.

“The folks here at Leavesden have been incredibly wonderful at coordinating with our crew, helping us secure everything we needed to make the show look authentic. They’re a vital part of what we were able to pull off here.”

Jim Kleverweis, Producer on The Franchise, Season 1

Featuring a star-studded cast comprising of Himesh Patel, Aya Cash, Jessica Hynes, Billy Magnussen, Lolly Adefope, Darren Goldstein, Isaac Cole Powell, Richard E. Grant, Daniel Brühl and Ruaridh Mollica, the series shines a light on the secret chaos inside the world of superhero moviemaking, asking how exactly the cinematic sausage gets made.
