The Queen’s Green Canopy Initiative at WBSL

On Friday 22nd April, Earth Day, we were delighted to welcome Robert Voss CBE CStJ, Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, to officially unveil a plaque celebrating the trees we have planted as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative, including an impressive 10m high Ginkgo Biloba tree.

Robert Voss was joined by Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst, Dan Dark, David Bisoni, Sarah Roots, Emily Stillman as well as other members of the WBSL team.

Over the past 18 months, we have planted over 300 trees at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as part of an ongoing initiative to enhance the green areas around the Studios, to improve ecology and biodiversity, and to create spaces that our local community can enjoy. We have also planted new hedgerows and sown over 30,000 sq.ft of wildflower seed to attract pollinators and support our local ecosystem.
