November 16, 2021 marks 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first Harry Potter film, was released in cinemas.

All eight Harry Potter films were filmed on site at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and are an important part of our history. Today we celebrate the thousands of people in the film and TV industry who worked on these films across all corners of the filmmaking process.

Since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone premiered, the films have been watched by millions of people all over the world. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone redefined the fantasy film genre and is regarded as one of the most faithful examples of a much-loved novel successfully brought to the big screen.
