Thank you to the NHS and key workers

WBSL would like to thank the NHS and all key workers for tirelessly working to support the nation during this time. We recognise that they are the real superheroes.

In recent weeks, our production community has come together to support our NHS and key services. WBSL has donated medical masks, toilet paper and antibacterial pumps to local NHS ambulance crews, as well as delivering bottled water and Easter eggs to NHS staff at Watford General Hospital over the Easter weekend.

Several of our productions based at WBSL have donated their PPE stocks. In total 700 coveralls, 1000 pairs of disposable gloves, 100 pairs of goggles, 100 bottles of hand sanitizer, 200 masks and 500 shoe covers were donated to the NHS. We also continue to support our local charity partner Watford Mencap through donations of toiletries and cleaning supplies.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, working in collaboration with a travel partner, is providing a service using the Harry Potter shuttle buses to give free transport to NHS key workers travelling between three hospitals in Hertfordshire.

The Platform 9 ¾ shop based at Kings Cross Station, delivered Harry Potter gift bags to Great Ormand Street Children’s Hospital for patients in isolation due to coronavirus who are unable to see their parents. The bags included notepads, pens, t-shirts, lanyards and copies of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.
