Lockwood & Co. Premieres on Netflix

The first season of Lockwood & Co, the TV adaptation of the supernatural thriller book series of the same name is now available to watch on Netflix. The series was adapted and directed by Joe Cornish (Attack The Block, Ant-Man, The Adventures of Tin-Tin), produced by Cornish, Nira Park and Rachael Prior and stars Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Hesmati.

We were delighted to work with Joe Cornish and the production creative team on this series. It was colour graded by Asa Shoul and Tim Drewett at Warner Bros. De Lane Lea with the production Dailies completed by our Dailies team.

The series follows Lucy Carlyle, a young psychic investigator, who joins London’s smallest ghost-fighting agency, run by the charismatic Anthony Lockwood and his ever-hungry assistant George Cubbins to tackle an epidemic of ghosts that has hit Britain.

Asa Shoul created a dark, rich grade for the multiple night scenes where the heroes battled ghosts, assassins and the occasional grown-up! “With so much of the show being shot at night with the kids often in just torch or moonlight and Joe wanting a really dark and scary look we had to be really careful to maintain connection with the action whilst realising his vision.” – Asa Shoul
